Leslie and Mike met through an online dating website and decided to meet for the first time at Tower Cafe in Sacramento. It was freezing outside but they ended up finding a cozy table next to a heater and talked for hours! On their 3rd date Mike had to bear some bad news that he was being deployed in a couple of months and he thought for sure Leslie would end it right there, but she felt a special connection with Mike and just couldn’t let go. They continued to date over the next couple of months and when it came time for his deployment they knew they just had to wait for each other.

I was so excited when they decided to do their Engagement Session in Old Town Sacramento.  They are such a beautiful couple and I could feel the love they have for one another!

Here are some of my favorites from our session…

It was so much fun getting to know these two. They enjoy speading lots of time together wine tasting, checking out new restaurants, and cuddling on the couch to watch a movie. One weekend they discovered a wine they fell in love with in Amador called Barbera. They found out that Barbera has a festival every year so of course, being the romantic that he is, Mike later planned an amazing weekend during festival time. They took a limo to the festival and dinned at an elegant restaurant. It was that weekend he asked Leslie for her hand in marriage.

Mike has been in the army for 14 years, 10 of those years have been active duty. He will be ending his army career in March and will be pursuing a career in physcial therapy. Leslie is a Registered Dietician and is passionate about health/wellness and weight management.

We walked around old town getting some great shots. They once had a date at the Delta King so of course we had to take a shot there. Aren’t they adorable!? I could not get enough of them, they really made my job easy!
