Manic Monday – Vol. 6

Manic Mondays:  It’s not just another Manic Monday, but a positive look back on life and what’s to come.

Seriously, where did July go!! I know I keep saying that time flies in every Manic Monday post but I really want to know where the time goes. I guess it’s true that time does fly when you’re having fun and these past few weeks have been nothing short of spectacular. After 4th of the July weekend the weather took a little break for one day and gave us a slight breeze but then scorched us with more hot hot days. One thing I love about Northern California is being able to enjoy the summer nights. On a hot day, when the sun sets it gives way to nice a cool breeze creating the perfect night for grilling and hanging out on the patio 🙂

The 4th of July weekend was followed by a beautiful engagement session with Kacia and Eric at the Fair Oaks Bridge. They will be getting married in exactly 11 days. I can’t wait! You can check out their Engagement Session blog post here.

The following weekend was Ian and Michelle’s wedding at Grace Vineyards. Wow! What a beautiful wedding. The vineyards were so beautiful and the sunset was just gorgeous…See my favorite photos from their wedding day here. The next day I met with Jessica and Colton at the Folsom Powerhouse for their engagement session. It was another scorcher, I believe hotter then the day before but we were able to get some amazing shots down by the river and on the folsom bridge. Sacramento has some amazing bridges and I just love being able to incorporate them into a portrait session.  Click here to see some of my favorites from Jessica and Coltons session!

Can you believe Dean and I have been in California for a year now!? Again, where does the time go. I have to stop telling people that I just moved back here, but it still feels like I just moved back here! When we first moved back to the Sacramento area we had our hearts set on Rancho Murieta, a golfing community just south of Folsom. Dean is an avid golfer so we wanted to move close to a nice country club. It was slim pickens as far as houses for rent so we just moved into the the first place that came up for lease and it happened to be a town home on the North side. It was built in the 70’s, still had a lot of the originally flooring/cabinets and was really dark from all the redwoods and other townhomes that surrounded it. After a year we realized we really wanted to found a house on the Southside and luckily we did! Yay! I think our dog, Tucker, likes the backyard the best 🙂

I also worked on my boudoir portfolio for my new Website this month! Since this year is passing by so quickly I wanted to put together a website just for my boudoir photography so I can start offering sessions for the holiday season. So stay tuned for that!

I am also very proud to have been a sponsor and a vendor participant for the Brides Against Breast Cancer Gown Sale and Bridal Show in Sacramento. We raised 14,000 for Cancer programs!! So awesome! The BABC gown tour travels all over the US so if you would like more information about this charity event check out their website  www.bridesagainstbreastcancer.org/

What’s a summer without going to a fun summer concert?  August 1st Dean and I danced the night away at the New Edition concert. Yes, you read it correctly…New Edition…Ronnie, Bobbie, Ricky and Mike!! And Johnny too! It took me waaaay back and it was so much fun! I still have “Cool it Now” and “Telephone Man” in my head.

Coming up…  Catching up on some business projects, a cute wedding at Rush Park, and Justin Timberlake in Concert!

Happy Monday!
