Bright blue skies, warm sun, and a gentle breeze whispering through the huge shade trees – I can’t imagine a more perfect day for an engagement session. Jessica and Aaric have settled in and begun their life together in gorgeous Walnut, California. As they prepare for their upcoming wedding, they wanted to take some time to really focus on their relationship and embrace the stage they’re in with an engagement session!

We headed over to Heather Farms Park near their neighborhood for this beautiful shoot that felt like a breath of fresh air! I just love how bright yet intimate these photos turned out.

A Roller Coaster Ride of a Love Story

These two met serendipitously and became friends on a cruise to Mexico. Jessica was with a bachelorette party while Aaric was with his brother’s bachelor party! She had her own life going on at the time, so they casually chatted some but nothing more – they didn’t even exchange numbers or goodbyes. 

However, when she returned home, life took her on some bumps and challenges. Because she and her friends were such good investigators, Jessica actually reconnected with Aaric as casual friends. After some time of communicating back and forth, they began to date, and things started looking up for them both! As they started getting more serious, they knew they wanted to be closer to family and have a baby before they officially tied the knot. They moved from their homes in southern California and bought a house together in Concord right as they found out she was pregnant!

Now, Jessica says, “The last three years together have been an amazing blessing to both of our lives, and we couldn’t be more excited to officially be husband and wife. While not everyone in our family knows of all the details of our union, we love our love story, and it’s been a crazy yet fulfilling ride!”
