“It’s just another Manic Monday whooo hooo…I wish it were Sunday…whooo hoooo…that’s my funday!” For those of you who grew up in the 80s like me I am sure when you saw this blog post you begin to sing the Bangles song out loud. It’s like the anthem for how most people feel about Mondays! After coming back from a nice fun weekend, now you have to go back to the reality of work and the hustle and bustle of life as we know it. We hate Mondays and we live for the weekends, right? I believe this is the reason time gets the best of us and goes so fast. We are always looking forward to the weekend and missing the everyday details of life. If you look up the definition of “Manic” it means showing wild and apparently deranged excitement and energy. Let’s be excited about Monday’s and spend our energy on making the coming week great and reflecting on the week before!

“Manic Monday’s” will be a short synopsis reflecting on the previous week and a look forward to what is going on this week. Monday’s will be like New Year’s weekly…a look back and a look forward! So I hope you will join me in celebrating Monday’s and to learn a little about me 😉

Highlight of Last week: Easter weekend, Mike and Leslie’s Wedding!!

This was my first Easter in Lotus since moving back to Northern California! It was an amazing day! 80 Degrees and not a cloud in the sky.  My Dad, who is a kid at heart and is always putting in an amusement park-like feature in Lotus, put up a new Zipline and it is huge hit! While the kids were riding the zipline I was able to practice panning. This is a cool technique that creates movement blur while the subject is clear.

Last week was also organizational week…making to do lists and goal lists and operational lists etc. Pretty soon I will have a blog post on my 101 goals in 1001 days! Boy, is it a challenge to come up with that many goals. I am excited for this blog post on goals because I know it will help keep me motivated and hold me accountable. I am also on this quest to get healthy and lose weight. I live in a beautiful community that has many lakes and trails to hike around. I challenged myself this week to walk my dog around Lake Chesboro at least 4 times a week and make healthier food choices. Now that spring has sprung the California fruit is becoming plentiful and I have stocked up on some for juicing.

Saw the movie “The other Women” with my cousins on Friday. Once and a while I need a little girls Chick flick movie night out. It was a cute and fun movie, and it was great to get out with the girls!

I photographed an amazing wedding this weekend and I can’t wait to share the blog post. I am also a proud owner of a new epiphanie bag! I use it as my shootbag and was able to use it for the first time at Mike and Leslie’s wedding. I love, love this bag! Not only is it super stylish but its very comfortable around my shoulders. I am always taking my bag off and on because it gets so heavy but I found with this particular I was keeping it on my shoulder at all times. It is very comfy and stays put!

Highlight of this week: My 40th Birthday!

Yep, you read it right it’s my 40th this week. My actual birthday is on Thursday but I will be celebrating in style this coming weekend. Yes, all weekend! Yay! I will also be attending Bob Davis’s speed light class on Tuesday….can’t wait! Lots to do so little time!
