I love participating in styled shoots! It gives me a chance to meet other wedding vendors and photographers, and collaborate. Additionally, it gives me a chance to introduce fresh new ideas to brides. This shoot had so many gorgeous details, and inspiration! Coupled with a regal venue like Montalvo Arts Center, a beautiful venue in Saratoga, California, it was perfect.
The ceremony took place at the historic Villa Montalvo, an Italian Mediterranean Revival mansion. While it took place in Winter, it was not your typical winter day. Instead, the weather was perfect! Blue skies, some clouds, and there was even a hint of early spring with a pop of some daffodils and other spring flowers that made a little appearance on the grounds. The color palette of cream, hints of yellow, and greenery was so timeless. Angelica Fleurs designed the most breathtaking ceremony arch, covered in white roses and flowers. Similarly, the aisle was lined with more flowers, which created the most beautiful aisle for our bride.
Our first bride and groom’s attire took a modern spin on tradition. The groom wore a velvet tuxedo jacket, which is a fun way for a groom to add texture to his look. Together with his white shirt and black bowtie, he looked dapper! Our bride wore a stunning mermaid gown by Berta, from their Milano 2020 collection. The fully structured bodice featured some sheer panels, with beautiful flutter sleeves (that are detachable!).
After the ceremony, we went to the garden, where the reception was held. Luxe linens graced the tables, that featured blue chargers, gold-rimmed plates, and gold flatware. The beautiful flowers continued, with centerpieces that tied into the ceremony backdrop. Additionally, the modern velvet chairs added a fun touch to the decor!
Another large floral arrangement, this time with some added feathers, graced the cake area. Later in the day, our second bride wore another Berta gown. In detail, this gown was covered in handmade appliqués that graced the full skirt. She carried a floral umbrella, a signature design of Angelica Fleurs! From the color palette to the unique flowers, to the stunning gowns and accessories, it was filled with so much inspiration for brides!
